In canton Graub?nden it is a widespread surname in Ilanz, Trans, Maladers, etc. In the 1838 census of Graub?nden canton people with the surname Hassler can be found living in: Chur - about a dozen families; Trans (in Gottehausbund) - one family; in Maladers (in Zehngerichtenbund) - about ten families.
