- In "Bornholms Pr?sters Indberetning" of 1651 about the island's "skatteb?nder" (taxpaying farmers), etc. appears an entry on "Aakier Sougn. Decimantes (Tiendeydere). I Kongens oc Cronens Tiennere Schatte B?nder med deris Udbyggere og Gadehuuse". Among those listed are: "3de Selvejergaard ejet af Michel Suortt" and "5de Selvejergaard, Gadegaard ejet af Eszbi?rn Suort."
In Bornholm's Jordeb?ger (land-tenancy records) the resident and taxpayer for Sorteg?rd, 3 Slg. ?ker, in 1624 is listed as "Michel Svort", and in 1658 is listed as "Michel Sordt" is named. Again in the next "Jordebog" of 1662, even though Michel Sort was deceased, the farm was attributed to "Michel Sortt" as the farm was still held by Michel's widow Karen and her son Mogens Sort. In the following "Jordebog" of 1689, we find Mogens Sort listed as the owner of Sorteg?rd.
From Bornholm's Jordebog of 1651:
Aakier Sougn, Kongens oc Cronens Tiennere. Schatte B?nder med deris Wdbyggere oc Gadehuuse: Nr. 3. Michell Suortt. Gadehuuse: Essbi?rn Pederss?n, Lauridz Simonss?n.
From the ?ker-?kirkeby kirkebog:
April 14, 1657: Liig Begrafen, Nr. 11, Michel Sort ?ster, ?t. 78 an.
From Bornholm's Jordebog of 1658, compiled during the Swedish occupation of the island:
S?nder H?radh, ?kier Sochn, Skattehemman, Nr. 3: (Forpantet till Velb. Malte Juls arfvinger) Michel Sordt. . . 18 Daler, 14 ?re, 10 Penningar.
From Bornholm's Jordebog of 1662:
S?nder Herridt, Aakier Sogn, Bunde, Nr. 3: Michel Sortt (Sl. Malte Juls arfuinger).
From the ?ker-?kirkeby kirkebog:
August 1, 1666: Liig Begrafen, Nr. 45, Karen Michel Sortis, ?t. 70 aar.
Mogens Sort named his eldest daughter "Hanne" - for his deceased first wife, his second daughter "Anne" - by tradition this child would likely have been named after Boel's mother, and the third daughter "Karen" - again by tradition likely to be named after his mother.
