The earliest records in the Berg?n register are the marriage records, they begin in 1586. A marriage dated April 9, 1598 of a "Pedar Sareina da Latsch et Anna Gualtier" is the first mention of a Sareina/Serena in the Berg?n register. Latsch is a small village just a short distance from Berg?n.
