- According to Chris Callais (candacallais@gmail.com):
Anders Pedersen (later Andrew Petersen) and Ellen Margrethe Kofoed and their three children (Marie Augusta Pedersen, 9 years; Peder Martin J. Pedersen, 5 years; and Hans John A. Pedersen, under 1 year) immigrated to the United States in 1861; they left on May 16, 1861. They first settled in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and later moving to Richfield, Utah. Andrew Petersen had two wives during the period of polygamy in the Church. In the 1880 census of Richfield, Sevier county, Utah lists him with both wives. The family came to America in 1861 aboard the "Monarch of the Sea" as Mormon converts.
